3. Check if d^2 y / dx^2 = M(x)/ EI is the equation I need to use for curvature of column. -- calculate without numbers.
- dx^2 = x_dotdot (accel) ?
- How will it this equation go into the Matlab program?
- Fixed column at base and pinned at bottom? - statically indeterminate structure?
- Interior vs. exterior column --which would be best for PZE sensor location? (most strain)
- EI (flexural rigidity) value for the columns, eventually will this have to be calculated from.
- EI = (0.2EcIg + EsIse)/ (1+Bdns) ACI Eq. 10-14
- EI = 0.40EcIg/(1+Bdns) ACI Eq. 10-15
4. Suggestions from Barroso about current project
- Do you see any way I could physically test this in the lab? -- besides having analytical testing and results.
